Re: the comments on the comment wall in the Foreign Films for the Classroom group.

I do promise at some point in time to put up the big South American Film list I put together for a unit on the Motorcycle Diaries. In the meantime, I said I'd give shout outs to any new South American film esp. shorts I came across. You might have heard me blather about how cool Film Movement is - this month's film - The Wind Journeys (looks teachable) is from Columbia and it include a short from Peru:

Danzak
Inspired by The Agony of Rasu Niti, a short story by famous Peruvian writer José María Arguedas, Danzak tells the story of Nina, a ten year old girl whose father, a master dancer, asks her to fulfill his last wish.
