Reading back on some of the older posts - one where Ryan sends a link to a Wired page with augmented reality apps? There is now a section on iTunes that highlights the newest augmented reality apps - in fact here are a number of them

I had a fantastic experience this summer visiting the augmented reality lab at Columbia and there is really fantastic potential for learning with this technology in the future.

(cross-posting from my blog):

There is a very nice video piece on the MacArthur Foundation Digital Media and Learning Spotlight Blog about the work I and my colleagues have been doing in South Africa with mobile phones and games:

http://spotlight.macfound.org/btr/entry/m-ubuntu_project_brings_mob...

You can check out the games kids from two schools made using media collected with phones; go to http://digw.org, click "play games" from the right-side menu, and look for the featured games about Ennerdale and Mafikeng, South Africa.
