Becky - speaking of time travel/role play - check out this recent post "Role playing and social media in the world history classroom" in the world history group - you should connect with these people!

We will be doing a presentation at the TAIS Conference in Chattanooga sharing our time travelers unit. In a combined library/technology class, our third grade students have researched, learned to do bibliography and fact cards, and come up with a presentation on an historical TN character. Adelicia Acklen ( a re enactor) came to visit class and get everyone excited about the project. We are astounded at the presentations.

Becky - got your message - you should do a post about it above in the discussion forum - hyperlink or anything else cool and then I can share it in the Week in review OR if you write a big post it can be shared as a blog.

That way the general membership can check it out and it might bring more of the many TN folks out there into this group to stay up to date!

Also, you might read about this "place out of time" work they've done up in Ann Arbor...lots of historical role playing.

Sound cool?

Ryan:)

I'm coming to Chattanooga next week for a conference: Southeastern Psychological Association Conference. I teach a college course on Media Effects on Children and Adolescents. I passed this site along to my students.

Hi Joy,
Welcome to the TN group. I'm located in the Chattanooga area (relocated last year from NY). Please pass this website along to others so we can build a great TN group!
Thanks
