  If you buy a bunch of these books used, tear them up and laminate them you will have A LOT of textual manipulatives to play with.

  What makes the books even better than NatGeo is they each have these great descriptions and maps on the back (in the cal books) so you have the option of having students turn them over after they explore the images.
