Making Curriculum Pop

Looking for an interesting collection of short stories, either an
anthology, or single stories that High School students would enjoy.

The more modern the better.

Hills Like Elephants by Hemingway and The Red Convertible by Louise Erditch work very well for my classes just to name a few.

I'm assuming (as this is the Brit Lit group) you're looking for British stories.  If so I don't remember the book super well but Irvine Welsh is a wild writer (Trainspotting the movie was based on his book) - he has a short story collection The Acid House that has to have a short, high-interest and at least one classroom friendly story.
