Making Curriculum Pop

I'm not holding out a huge amount of hope for this request, but I thought I'd try the group anyway...

Do you know an L.A.- or San Diego-area teacher who uses graphic novels who'd be willing to be on a panel at Comic-Con International?

This should probably be someone who's willing to travel to San Diego anyway -- there is no travel reimbursement, for example. The need is for someone at K-12 who could help round out an education panel in which well-known creators and publishers are participating (and probably me, too). And for additional details, I can quickly and easily put you in touch with those who are organizing this programming.

Thanks so much for any leads --

Peter,

When is Comic-Con? I'm looking to do some conference work, but aside from cost, time of year is a factor as well.

This year it starts on July 23 and runs for four days -- and it's pretty much always that time of year. Would be great to see you there...
You might also consider putting this request on the English Companion Ning that Jim Burke moderates. He is from CA and many on the EC Ning are too. I'm sure you will have some takers there.
Thanks for the idea!
