Kelly - thanks so much for sharing this - hopefully you will have a cool digital archive of the work you did with students to share in the New Media Group!

I just want to say what a wonderful experience the SIT (Students Involved in Tech) conference was this past weekend! You may want to start planning now for next year! I had 4 students speak at the conference, and they did a beautiful job. I would love to see more presenters next year and even more opportunities for students to learn from their peers. http://www.sitconference.org/  There are 4 IL locations, so there should be one near you. Keep an eye on the site to see the 2012 highlights and photos!

Two great groups you might be interested if you serve an urban population or have lots of kids who enjoy Street Lit:

Hi Everyone -

If you're in the midwest, consider attending the Illinois Computing Educators conference February 23-26 in St. Charles, Illinois. More information can be found at http://iceberg.org and on the conference ning: http//myiltce.ning.com. I'm on the conference committee... let me know if you have questions.

I joined the Chicagoland Teachers ning because a lot of teachers that live and teach in the Chicagoland area have posted interesting resources and discussions, that I hope/plan to use in my classroom. In addition, I hope to connect with more experienced teachers, in order to improve my own teaching.
