This is such a wonderful cartoon! I have an eighth grade student who was told by her mother that she should not be friends with Muslims because they are terrorists. In our ELL room, this girl sits right next to a Muslim student and we have talked and talked together to understand that only a small group of Muslims/people are terrorists. This comic, (in its entirety), was very helpful to understand the events that led up to the leaving of so many people from Syria. Students need understanding in order for a peaceful future. Thank you, Ryan, for posting this! Your new resources are awesome!
