Books Across America: The National Education Association Foundation makes awards to public schools serving economically disadvantaged students so they can purchase books for school libraries. Maximum award: $1,000. Eligibility: Applicants must be a practicing pre-K-12 school librarian, teacher, or education support professional in a U.S. public school in which at least 70 percent of the students are eligible for the free or reduced-price lunch program.
