Thank your for coming in to our class today. You had some really great ideas. If I had you as a math teacher in high school maybe I would have learned something. I became a teacher because I never wanted anyone to feel the way I did with math. Thanks again and good luck student teaching and finding a job!

Thanks so much for your sharing your really amazing lesson with us yesterday. That was really an amazing amount of effort and work that went into it. Your ability to reach students is obvious and I bet you'll have no trouble finding employment when you're ready. I don't know much about what's happening in Addison Trail's math dept but when you're ready for employment and need a reference at AT, let me know. I'd be happy to put in a good word! THanks again!

I really enjoyed your visit with our class. I want to encourage you to continue to strive to be that math teacher that does things out of the box. Your lesson gave every one of us an opportunity to explore math in a creative and engaging way. It is experiences like these that students will remember and keep with them for the rest of their lives. Thanks again for the enjoyable experience learning math. Keep up the good work.

    Deborah,

Thank you for making math less intimidating for us liberal arts majors. Your lesson in Ryan's class last week showed us all the potential for relevant learning in all subjects can be.

It is a lot of work, but there is always a need for good teachers and you are well on your way! Congrats and thanks for introducing us to a different vision of math instruction.

Ryan doesn't have to ask me to be nice, I;m just a nice guy :) But seriously, nice job on the golden ratio thing. I'm at Addison Trail High School, 10 years.

    Hello Deborah,

I have always loved social science because I have always felt that it teaches a little about everything. Growing up we didn't have the same technology or visuals used today. A lot of my love of learning came from the stories and enthusiasm my teachers conveyed.

Ironically, I teach at the junior high that I went to many years ago. There will be a math opening at our school next year (Jefferson Junior High School in Woodridge). If you get your student teaching done, it could be a prime opportunity.

    Take care.
