At the top of the group there should be an little + sign similar to the one in the Middle School group (image below) that says "+Join Middle School Group." Easy stuff.
Your proposal sounds great! We would love to see what some of your high schoolers have to say, especially motivated students that will add thoughtful comments, etc.

Econ, Gov and Biz
Religious Studies
Psychology/Sociology/Anthropology
Social science people also really enjoy the Media Education and Teach with Moving Images groups.
