This is a short video of the "Making Of" a video we made with 10th grade students. Acting, content research, special effects, props, production tech and many other talents were needed to make our film.
We filmed the movie in a day and a half. Later we filmed with 6th grade students to add additional content to the story. The music used was made by a friend of a friend who makes "film score" music as a hobby. Explosions and sound FX are free and almost free from web sources.
Please feel free to share this with your students and send me any feedback as to how it was perceived. Ten people will see a piece of media ten different ways.
James: when I go to that site: http://www.vimeo.com/5557760
the video does not play for me. I see a freeze frame of wires and cords, but when I hit the play button, I get a black screen and nothing happens. help!
Computer literacy and media literacy go hand in hand.
