CONFERENCE: Students Involved in Technology

Hello, teachers!! The Students Involved in Technology (SIT) conference is coming up in February!! This is a fabulous student-led tech conference that has several locations throughout the state.

Last year I invited two groups of two students each to be presenters at the conference to share what they'd learned in an afterschool tech-related club. Coaching them through their presentations and seeing them get up in front of a crowd of kids to present their work was a hugely rewarding experience, not just for them but definitely for me as well. Our school also had a number of students attend the conference as learners (not presenters), and they also had a wonderful time and learned a lot!! I highly recommend SIT to you as a fantastic way to get involved in a great cause as a staff leader/volunteer and also to your students.
