Making Curriculum Pop

Hi everyone,

I am developing some materials and would welcome your comments/insights.

I am working on a comic story about photosynthesis that I plan to test in my ongoing assessment of comics in the classroom. It is designed for an intro bio course, so no prior knowledge is assumed (as far as I can tell, but I may be wrong). I realize that this is a busy time of year, but I am posting new pages on my blog as I complete them and would value any comments/insights you might have.  I teach a non-majors introductory biology course and I'm especially interested in how non-science nerds view the story (i.e. does it make sense?).  Here is the link to the blog:

(Editorial Note: the awesome thing about Jay's blog is you can see his process and how his comics go from the scientific chart:

To charming narrative:

end ed note.)

Here is the archive containing all of the photosynthesis posts (you have to start at the bottom to get page 1)

Any thoughts you have time for would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Jay
