ALA has just published "Visual Literacy for Libraries" which I have reviewed and found to be excellent. Although it appears to be directed toward a high ed audience, I found that it could also be very valuable for both middle and high schools. For example, the new SATs include more "graphic literacy" questions and the new texts has a section on infographics. There is so much more in this text that makes it worthy of your consideration. Be sure to look at the ALA website for a complete TOC. Another text that might be worthy of consideration is "America's Best Infographics of 2015."
