Jude Law, fresh off his Hamlet on Broadway hosts SLN March '10...

Law's opening monologue is a cute abridged Hamlet, probably fun to show students.

Second clip, ughhh, not super funny Hamlet auditions, but I thought I'd put it out there to be complete.

I thought the "auditions" was funnier than the monologue. On a related note, I did a presentation on Shakespeare and Remix recently. To demonstrate how Shakespeare gets remixed in production I made a little remix of the Ghost scene from 1.4--"Questionable Shape".

Chris, well of course we can agree to disagree on the SNL clip but we can't disagree that your mash-up was pretty cool.

I was wondering what version this Seventh Seal meets Hamlet version is from - do you know?

Do consider posting an embedded version of the video in the discussion forum solo - that way everyone will get an e-mail about it and I can highlight it during a Week In Review - if you have a chance it would be a great thing to share with a larger audience!

On a related note, I'm waiting for the Robin Williams "Improv Hamlet" SNL sketch to become available at hulu or on DVD.
