EXHIBIT/SITE: Geomorph - Everything changes when mathematics meets art!

I was doing a presentation in Salt Lake City and caught this interesting exhibit by artist-in-residence Roger Burrows. The Leonardo is a cool museum focused on Science, Technology and Art. Here is the description of the residency from the museum site:

October 3 - October 31

Author, Inventor, and Mathematician Roger Burrows presents: GEOMORPH

Everything changes when mathematics meets art! This residency will explore geometrical space in new ways.

The Geomorph exhibition will feature shape-changing structures and models, HD animations of dynamic geometries, geometries of times past, and prints of a broad range of geometrical designs and systems. Create shape-changing structures and possible off-planet structures, as well as new types of mazes and labyrinths. Younger visitors can learn about visual logic through interactive designs. High school and university students can examine past and future geometries, and then create new structures using new and open-ended principles. They will also have the opportunity to explore other applications such as energy saving, and materials for more efficient buildings.

Guests can take part in any of these FREE workshops!

Interactive Visual Logic Games and Building Geo Models

October 3 - October 7, and October 10 - October 14
Drop-in workshops, held during regular museum hours

Building Shape-Changers

While the exhibit no is no longer going on there are lots of interesting resources and more information at the artist's website - http://rogerburrowsimages.com and http://rogerburrowsimages.com/exhibitions-lectures/
