Making Curriculum Pop

Because I previously worked in television news (and I read several newspapers everyday), I got used to seeing how journalism uses and reports numbers. When I came to media literacy, it was natural for me to create a page on my Media Literacy Clearinghouse website entitled "Math In The Media."
I had just read an article that listed the top 10 news stories that commonly use/report numbers. Becausde I worked in news, I realized that ratings (and shares) are what television lives (and dies) by. So I created some background material on incorporating ratings/shares into the math classroom. So I hope you'll look at the site and consider it for your classroom.
