Making Curriculum Pop

Sadly, this controversial film has been given an "R" rating, making it harder for the message to connect with its demographic. Here is the official trailer.
And the film review at NPR was simply glowing (despite the horrific subject matter).

Read the full NPR review HERE, Ebert's rails against the films R rating in his blog "Hey, kids! Anybody here not heard the F-word?" and the film's official website is HERE.

I read recently that the film would be released with "no rating," thereby leaving the decision to attend the film to parents (and presumably the policies of individual theaters). I'll see if I can find the reference.

So it looks like a petition moved it to unrated but...

Regal Cinemas, the largest theater chain in the country, will play the unrated documentary "Bully" in its theaters, the company announced today.

"Regal intends to play the film and respect the original R rating decision of the MPAA," says Regal spokesperson Dick Westerling. "We will treat the film like it was rated R." The decision means children 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to see the film.
