Switch On: New Media Literacy Curricula

Ofcom (the UK counterpart to the FCC) has announced the release of "Switch On" a media literacy resource for beginners. A press release indicates that it is "aimed particularly at professionals teaching or caring for people with learning disabilities."

Introduction to media languages
Introduction to recognizing modalities

Introduction to recognizing genre
Introduction to understanding news
Introduction to understanding advertising
Introduction to using the media
