Please consider sharing this message with English and Social Studies educators. I am a member of the English Companion NING operated by Jim Burke, author of the English Teacher's Companion (3rd ed). Jim has just sent members a note (below) about a collaboration between the NING and the US Holocaust Memorial. In any future communication designed for teachers, you may wish to urge your members to join the NING, (it's free) so that they can particpate in the webinar--as it looks and sounds like a fantastic opportunity.

English Companion Ning Forms Partnership with the United State Holocaust Memorial Museum
One of the real highlights for me at NCTE was meeting with Peter Fredlake, who directs professional development for the USHMM. Beginning January 30th, the USHMM, through the EC Ning, will run a free three-week webinar on propaganda that will draw from the vast and varied resources of the USHMM. What makes this event historic is that it is the first time the USHMM has ever partnered with any other organization outside of their institution to bring their resources to the public. We will be working very hard to ensure the success of this event; moreover, we should see it as a beginning of new partnerships, perhaps with such organizations as Folger Shakespeare, to name just one. Many thanks to Peter for his confidence in our community and for spending so much time with me Saturday to discuss the logistics of this project.
