Making Curriculum Pop

QUESTION: Anyone implementing a results only learning environment (ROLE) this year? No grades, no teacher assigned homework..

I have just finished reading Role Reversal by Mark Barnes and I am so excited! In a results only learning environment students and teachers work together to facilitate learning. There are no grades except at end of the quarter (because of my district's policy) but teacher and students conference and dialogue throughout the year to discuss, plan, re-discuss...Too much to post now but I wondered if anyone else out there was already doing this.

I'm currently reading the book, but I have no prior experience.

Did you finish the Mark Barnes book?

Call up Near North Montessori or Chicago Montessori.  They both have programs set up exactly like this.  They do not have grades, but, for lack of a better term, stations and tiered assignments.  It is a lot of work to set up, but very effective once it gets going.  Ombudsman does something similar with online content and meetings every 10 or 15 days for students to set goals and plan the next round of online lessons.  I am interested in getting the book and thinking how it can apply to high schools, too.
