Making Curriculum Pop

I teach 6th grade and I have a number of students who continue to struggle with writing run-on sentences and fragments.  I am hoping to do a basic assessment and speak to the literacy teacher about non-boring ways to teach this skill...but this situation reminds me that I have been dreaming of creating the following:

An online program/website which allows students to check-off boxes of skills they know they need to work on, which in turn, generates a personalized check-list they can use to proofread their work.

Does anyone have ideas for ways to do this?  I know that this forum is usually discussing issues more enlightened than boring run-on sentences, but that's my current reality...

Thanks!

Joanna
