VIDEO: How Good is a Good Teacher? CNN

This is a classic example example of odd research interpretation - esp. when it comes to the education as human capitol discourse. Ever notice how no one can ever really define a "good teacher" in these video clips? Instead they should "love kids and what they do in their off time?...some people are just good teachers, man!" What can I say, these clips drive me bonkers.

I continue to see and value how teachers are being examined.  However, what about parents?  When will there be any accountability for parents?  I spend 40 minutes a day with any given student.  I can plan the most outstanding, engaging, interactive lessons, but how do I reach that student who lacks the most fundamental lesson:  RESPECT.  That should be taught at home, as well as at school!!

 

HARD CORE TEACHERS TEACH BIBLE SCHOOL?  Really?  I would argue that a hard core teacher knows when to take a break!
