Making Curriculum Pop

Wired Magazine only puts about 90% of their content on line.  This little feature I pulled does not have a date I can find :(  Still, despite the less than awesome scan, there is a lot of interesting stuff to talk with students about re: emoticons. I love the start of the timeline...

I don't know how to make it turn into a picture like the pretty one above, but National Geographic recently did a page comparing/contrasting the emoticons of the Western world and the Eastern. I'm a fan of "sad" and "apologizing" myself.
