Teaching Poetry through Hip-Hop/Music!!!

Hello All!

I just got done creating a 3 week unit about poetry that incorporated elements of Hip-Hop/Music.  Even though the success of my unit in my class was very beneficial for a future educator like myself, I knew that I had not even touched upon the surface of all the resources I could have used.  So, I have compiled 20 resources that could help anybody in creating a poetry unit that can incorporate Hip-Hop/Musical elements!  ENJOY!!!

Thanks, Justin. I will definitely be checking these out. I just today started poetry using the book Hip-Hop Poetry and the Classics. My students love it so far and I definitely want to explore more.

Thank you for sending out all of these resources. I couldn't tell if you posted your unit on there or not? I love using hip-hop as part of my poetry unit, so I was just looking for a way to simplify all of the resources.
