Rosh Hashanah, the two-day festival that marks the start of the Jewish year, draws to a close today, while the Muslim faith begins its observance of Eid al-Fitr, the three-day finale to Ramadan.

Meanwhile, prominent leaders in the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths met in Washington, D.C. this week for an “emergency summit” meeting to denounce what they called “the derision, misinformation and outright bigotry” aimed at American Muslims during the controversy over the proposed Islamic community center near ground zero.

For all these reasons, we thought today was a good day to publish a list of resources on world religions, and to invite students to post responses to our Student Opinion questions on spirituality and religious tolerance.
