Scholars Unveil a Range of Studies on Principals at AERA's Annual Gathering

The studies were done by The School Leadership Research Project which fills a gap in existing research by providing a systematic, data-rich analysis of school leadership, including the school leadership labor market and what makes some school leaders more effective than others.

 

This article summarizes the role prinicpals play in not only recruiting but training teachers to be leaders.

Thanks for sharing, Stephanie!  I wonder why 60% of principals in low achieving schools are still in place six years later.  Isn't that a high percentage to keep in place for so long?  Maybe that is changing now....
