ARTICLE: Science and Entertainment Exchange ... inspired by Hot Tub Time Machine
Thought this science fact vs. science fiction sidebar from Entertainment Weekly was fun. Have you heard of the Science and Entertainment Exchange? I tore it out without noting the issue (EW doesn't put all their content online).

There are Pseudo Science courses popping up at various universities in my area. Both of my college age kids are loving the courses too! Just as one English teacher asked me what I thought about her teaching The Secret, my son saw the book and crowed, "Oh No! Mom, that's a bunch of crap you know...." He is studying physics and resents the physics connection suggested in the book. The book was one discussed as being "phony science" in his course.
What are folks' thoughts on the pseudo science studies taking place? -
