BLAST! is an exciting adventure science documentary which will be screened at the Cinema Village (22 East 212th Street between University Place & Fifth Avenue) from June 12th - 18th, 2009.

Five-time Emmy winner, Paul Devlin, follows his brother, Mark Devlin, PhD, to five continents, from the Arctic to the Antarctic to launch a revolutionary new telescope on a NASA high altitude balloon to unlock the evolution of the Universe. This is an opportunity to excite students about science through an entertaining and educational film, meet the BLAST scientists and grad students who are featured in the film at special Q&A sessions, and meet the filmmakers who traveled to 5 continents, including Antarctica, to produce the film. Mark (BLAST PI) and Paul Devlin (director) will attend the screenings with science and telescope demonstrations. Attendees will have the opportunity to win McMurdo Station, Antarctica, t-shirt and hat door prizes *
