My name is Sandra Ocon I am currently a junior at Aurora University. I am studying to become a high school biology teacher. As part of my training I am enrolled in a reading across the curriculum class. The main point of the class is to teach us how to use multi-modal literacies (print / non print texts / online stuff) as models for student engagement in reading and writing I am working on creating a unit on Evolution! My goal is to have students be able to know major mechanisms for evolutionary change and know the importance of fossil records in the theory of Evolution. I would like students to be able to design their own fossil records at the end of the unit. I am looking for ways to incorporate pop culture into my lessons. I would appreciate any help that you can give me.
Thanks
Sandra Ocon
