My favorite part...

Maintain realistic expectations about what your students know and can do.
This is one of the most hurtful comments an educator can make to a gifted student: "You figure it out…you're gifted." Gifted students still need to be taught. While many are capable of absorbing a great deal of information independently, they still rely on your expertise and guidance. I have yet to see a student who can figure out long division without instruction.

This is right on time...I am now entering a new venture of facilitating advanced learner groups :-)  If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I will gladly accept them.

Steph, you should describe what your trying to do (as I'm assuming you're doing this online) and post it as a crowdsource question in the New Media and Tech group since they have huge membership. If you give a few more details of your challange it seems to me like something people might really have ideas around!  Hope you're groovy.  Ry:)
