Thanks for posting this Ryan. It really was a profound experience when I saw this episode. The sentiment goes back to the times of Confucius when he said. "Even when in the company of two different men. I am bound to be able to learn from them. The good points of the one, I copy. The bad points of the other, I correct in myself". When I saw this episode, I was inspired to copy the attitude of Georgie towards learning and to correct the judgmental attitude of Archie that I sometimes saw in myself. Glad you liked it!
The great irony of that show is how they used a reprehensible character (Archie) for both comedy and these brilliant social commentaries. Yes - it was awesome to watch. Thank you so much for sharing it!
My father didn't like it at all. I think he saw too much of himself in Archie although he really wasn't that bad. He was just raised in a different time (and culture).
That was the power of the show, eh?
