Making Curriculum Pop

Program Coordinator Steve Shultz announces Stony Brook University's fourth annual News Literacy Summer Teacher Institute will take place from July 11 through July 22.  You are cordially invited to apply for our summer institute if you have never attended.   We continue to offer participants room, board, and a $1,000 stipend.  In addition to this, all participating high school teachers who successfully complete the summer institute will be eligible to teach an undergraduate credit bearing course in their respective high schools.

As for our institute alumni, we are planning to establish digital communication so that all of us can perpetually exchange ideas and strategies with ALL previous institute participants.  We are also planning future get togethers, the first being at our welcoming teacher institute barbecue on July 11, which we hope you will be able to attend.  There will be more information to follow.
