Capstone Press has released four new titles in its new "Captured History" series for upper elementary and middle school students. Each title centers around a specific photograph from history and provides detailed background. Topics include: Iwo Jima; Migrant Mother; Civil Rights; Moon Landing. "Combining art, history, and media literacy, this series looks at some of the most famous photographs and details how and why these images resonate today and what effect they had when they were published."
