Making Curriculum Pop

Roy Stryker, founder of the Farm Security Administration’s photography project, was determined to compile a visual encyclopedia of the United States in the 1930s and ’40s and preserve it for future generations. Now, the New York Public Library is putting online a collection of those images from the FSA’s documentary project.  PBS markets a documentary about Stryker and the photographers: DOCUMENTING THE FACE OF AMERICA: Roy Stryker and the FSA/OWI Photographers. (I have created a website of resources for those who wish to teach with and about these images.)
