Free Summer Conference on Picturing America

The National Endowment for the Humanities is sponsoring a free summer professional development opportunity for K-12 educators and librarians, designed to help educators use Picturing America images in their curriculum. Democratic Vistas: Civic Life, History, and American Art will explore democratic values as a theme in American art and will examine folk and traditional art as an expression of American creativity.
The institute is offered on August 3 and 4 or August 5 and 6, at the Boston Public Library, Museum of Fine arts, and other locales around Boston.
