Making Curriculum Pop

I randomly caught this blog from American Indians in Children's Literature (AICL) about the U.S. Dakota War - loaded w/ resources.
They were all like “you’ve got to check this This American Life” from 2012 on U.S. Dakota War. So you know, I did, while I was cleaning the house.
At 60 minutes I thought it was a brilliant VERY ENGAGING introduction to the sloppiness of writing and learning history (I think the film Rashomon and this TAL - http://bit.ly/2Dc1u3m  are other great tools as well.)
I think Podcasts / and specifically TAL are THE MOST underutilized teaching tools.  If you’re not down with TAL check these “intro to teaching with TAL” blogs I wrote back in the day… I share these all the time because I think they are a great “intro” guide if you have teachers that don’t use the tool. Plus maybe a few folks will read them - lol.
Happy Listening!
