RESOURCE: Mission US: New Multimedia Resource/Game

(from WNET/WLIW)  Mission US is a free, new interactive adventure game series designed to improve the understanding of American history by students in grades 5 through 8.  The project website includes a vast suite of classroom resources.

 

Mission 1: "For Crown or Colony?" helps players understand the social, political and economic conflicts that led to the American Revolution by having them step into the shoes of fictional Nat Wheeler, a young printer's apprentice in colonial Boston.

 

Missions are standards-based and can be easily incorporated into existing history classes and curricula. Starting September 21st, play Mission US online -- a revolutionary way to learn history, at www.mission-us.org
