Making Curriculum Pop

On April 27, 2012 the Smithsonian Institution and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello will offer a free interactive online conference developed for teachers and secondary students. Curators, historians, and guests will examine different aspects of Jefferson's life - including his writings, the paradox of slavery, the Lewis and Clark expedition, and even a conversation with a Thomas Jefferson enactor about science, technology, and invention. The day will conclude with a moderated discussion with descendants of the slaves of Jefferson's Monticello plantation.

This webinar is free of charge. Visit http://smithsonianconference.org/jefferson/ to register and learn more about this webinar.
