Speak Out Against Bullying

A new initiative aims to use students’ interest in comics to help engage them in discussions about bullying prevention. The Stop Bullying: Speak Up Comic Challenge, co-sponsored by the Cartoon Network and the online comics platform Bitstrips for Schools, is offering weekly challenges for individual students or classes to devise endings and complete online comic strips that deal with bullying situations. The top entries will be used to create a downloadable anthology that teachers and librarians can use with students.
