Sebastian Mondrone here - I working with a few seventh grade classes who are starting MAUS on Monday. We took trips to the Jewish museam this week to build up thier background knowledge of the Holocaust and the general horrors of World War II.

Ning Brad Snyder. Ryan has also taught graphic novels,too...Maus particularly. You need to scaffold using them, so they GET IT. Brad is DC at Fenton HS in Illinois and had a teacher develop a LP using graphic novels and I am sure he can help in a much more detailed manner.
