This captures my frustration over the last two days of trying to do research with limited success. Typing in the key terms isn't always the best way to find information, yet sometimes the more cryptic you are the better. I used to think that ask.com could really answer a question I typed in...and then I realized that it sorts the words just like every other search engine. Do we ever teach students the best techniques for searching the web in our subject areas? By the way...the capital of Nebraska is Lincoln...where I was born!
Go Huskers! - A book I find useful - although parts of it are a bit out of date at this point is Sara Kajader's The Tech-Savvy English Classroom She has some nice guides for how to scaffold web searching etc. etc. that apply to all disciplines!
