Making Curriculum Pop

I'm about to start student teaching and am setting up a Ning for my classes. I'm concerned about the nature of the ads that are appearing on the site as I set up. I've noticed that the education Nings I belong to have education-related ads. Is there a way to ask for this? (I cannot afford the $25 per month to have them removed.)
Thanks.

Yes. You can email the Ning people and request to have the ads removed.
Done! Thank you.
Here's a blurb from the Ning team when I asked about my wife's Ning.

2) We do have a free trial offer to remove ads from student networks used as classroom educational supplements. Our purpose in this program is to prevent children between the ages of 13 and 18 from being exposed to inappropriate content that infrequently but occasionally shows up in the Google AdSense ads that we use to support the service.

If you'd like your social network to be evaluated for this program, we'll just need to know:

-the URL (http://...) of this particular social network
-the exact age range of students involved
-a brief summary of your specific educational plans for it

We'll then be happy to evaluate accordingly.

If you have any more questions, just ask.

Best,
The Ning Team
Do you happen to have the address you used to contact them? I'm not sure if I sent my request to the right place.
