WIth all the great Colbert clips playing around with J.D. Salinger lately I noticed he has a video tag "literary references." That tag led me to this vintage clip, "The Word - Willy Loman."
FWIW Older clips, like this one, might require a bit of background knowledge in order for students to truly enjoy the satire.
For other Death of a Salesman references, check out Seinfeld. Jerry is constantly referring to George as BIFF. And in one episode, Kramer accidentally recieves a TONY. IN the next scene, he is sitting at Sardis telling jokes about how he told his friend "Artie" that the title should be "LIFE of a SALESMAN"!
