LA RESOURCE: My StoryMaker

You may have heard about this resource already, but just in case you missed it, I had to share. I just found out about it at a conference. It's called My StoryMaker and is a FABULOUS resource for both reading and writing that incorporates Web 2.0 technology. Kids create a story using the very easy and intuitive interface, and the web site writes the sentences for them in terms of what's going on. But of course the kids will want to add details and change some of the given sentences, so that's where the writing piece comes in. I created a story of my own just to try it out and was giggling uncontrollably in my office like a loon! I think this is perfect for 2nd-6th. Yes, even those hardened 6th graders (tee hee) will get a huge laugh out of this and enjoy the experience.
