Math Collaboration - Ukrainian Egg Design
I have a 4th Grade class who has been studying lines and angles. The students are going to design a Ukrainian Egg with those elements and would like to know if anyone else would like to join our project? I was thinking about having the students hand draw the egg, take a photo of it in Photobooth, mesh all the images together in a movie. While the movie shows the images have a student explain the project and define the elements in the egg that are being shown. This can even incorporate different shapes. I thought if others from around the world wanted to participate then we can begin to build a friendship to conference and work together on later projects.

The students are getting ready to publish their non traditional eggs. :) The students decorated an egg with geometrical terms - hiding lines, angles, etc inside. We'd love to skype with someone at your school to learn more about Ukrainian eggs.
