Making Curriculum Pop

Did you know it's Teddy Bears Picnic Day on July 10? Maybe school isn't in, but you could certainly celebrate after the event!

Sharing books about teddy bears is a great idea. Some kids may only know Winnie the Pooh from t-shirts or movies, so reading excerpts from A.A.Milne's books would be great. Or how about a teddy bear dress up day? Even older elementary kids can join the fun by dressing a bear as a famous literary or historical character - Napoleon Bonabear for instance, a bear in bicorn hat and sash, with his paw in his vest.

You'll find more ideas in my post at The Book Chook.
