Making Curriculum Pop

Susie Highley, a middle grades media specialist in Indiana, alerted Middleweb's blogger to this blog resource developed by Chris Harris, a librarian in upstate New York. "There are some greatresources as you go across the top menu bar," she says. Harris describes it as an "online toolkit for building gaming at your library" and offers a strong defense for "playing games" should critics appear. Look at Tools & Resources for lots of interesting links. How might school library folks leverage these ideas?

Thanks for this link. I am in the process of trying to organize a committee at our school to obtain a gaming console (like Wii or DS) and then utilize that console in various educational applications.

I know this site is for libraries but it nonetheless gives great 'back up' to support gaming--video games or otherwise. I especially liked the section on Advocacy and having a 'quick pitch' at the ready. I'm going to hone mine so I'm all set for those 'doubters'. A great idea!
