Making Curriculum Pop

Hi everyone,

Over on the Drawing Words & Writing Pictures site I just posted a little story, with illustrations, about a teaching/problem-solving experience I had recently. It's from a class where I teach adults how to tell stories using comics but I think it may be of interest to teachers in general because it's an example of a student and teacher discovering that the answer to a problem is sitting right in front of them on the page.

You can read the post here.

Thanks for sharing this, Matt. It's a great example and brings to mind your 99 ways, which i recently shared with a class of 9th graders, as a visiting comics maker, and they were totally geeked about the book! (Me too, btw)

best,

Nick

Thanks, Nick, and thanks for the kind words about 99 Ways. That reminds me I need to start a separate discussion here about that book as a teaching tool...
